On Saturday Night, March 18 on KCRA Channel 3, Bob Wilkins showed only one movie at 11:PM, earlier than usual but unfortunately showing a turkey of a film called"Monster From The Surf" (1965) AKA "The Beach Girls And The Monster", directed by actor, "Jon Hall" : "Surfers are brutally mudered. Is the culprit a sea monster or just one of the teens jealous parents?". Absolute, one of Bob's worst movies!!!

I was there, glued to the tube, at age 9 for this screening -- the very first time I ever saw BW's show. I remember Bob saying that the movie was terrible and that there was no good reason to watch it. He was right about the movie but wrong about watching -- Bob was the best reason I ever had for staying up late. I became an instant and devoted fan -- and, in the years that followed, I almost NEVER missed a BW show, including those on channel 40 and channel 2. Today (four decades later almost to the day) I produce DVDs for a company called Anchor Bay Entertainment -- many of them horror films. So, thanks to the passion for the genre instilled in me by Bob, I am doing my share to help people watch horror movies and thus "Keep America Strong". Thanks, Bob!
