September 28, 1968 Schedule: "Girl In His Pocket" and "Secret Agent" 12:15AM

Another Very late night show for BOB WILKINS, this time a bit after Midnight, but Bob shows a very interesting FRENCH Comedy/Fantasy called GIRL IN HIS POCKET (1957) aka UN AMOUR DE POCHE. Obviously Bob showed the English Dub Version about a professor experimenting in suspended animation, accidently shrinking his dog, and later, his female assistant. Bob also shows an episode of "SECRET AGENT".

September 21, 1968 Schedule: "Invasion USA" and "Secret Agent" 12:30AM

Well, it looks like BOB WILKINS has a later start, probably due to an earlier sports event, this time after midnight at 12:30AM. Bob showed INVASION U.S.A. (1952), which is a Sci-Fi movie which was also an Anti-Communist Movie. It is available on DVD from SYNAPSE FILMS. Bob also shows an episode of SECRET AGENT.

September 14, 1968 Schedule: "12 To The Moon" and "Secret Agent" 11:30PM

On this evening, BOB WILKINS shows a very inept Sci/Fi Movie called 12 TO THE MOON (1960) which was shown on MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATRE 3000 in 1994. A very low budget film, like most of Bob's movies. Bob also showed an episode of SECRET AGENT.

BOB WILKINS 42nd ANNIVERSARY on KCRA-TV CHANNEL 3

Well it was 42 years ago on this day in 1966, that BOB WILKINS debuted on SATURDAY NIGHTS, initially at 11:PM with a DOUBLE FEATURE, telling everyone to avoid ATTACK OF THE MUSHROOM PEOPLE and watch the movie on KOVR-13 instead. I did a LENGTHY ARTICLE on its 40TH ANNIVERSARY so this time I have PRINTED those 2 pages of TV GUIDE that BOB looked at and told the audience about. To view it LARGER, just point your browser toward an article and click! Enjoy!!!!

September 7, 1968 Schedule: "Revenge Of The Creature" and "Secret Agent" 11:30PM

On this Saturday Evening on KCRA, BOB WILKINS shows the UNIVERSAL CLASSIC, REVENGE OF THE CREATURE (1955). What makes this evening unusual is the fact that even though KCRA had the rights to the UNIVERSAL HORROR/SCI FI FILM PACKAGE, most of those films were shown earlier in the afternoons, not on Bob's show. Later Bob would show this film on both KTVU-2 and KTXL-40 and ironically would show this film IN 3D ON TELEVISION in 1982 on both KTXL-40 and KBHK-44. Bob also shows an episode of SECRET AGENT.

Another Boring Saturday Night!

Well, it is a Saturday Night and I am bored stiff! Nothing on the local Sacramento channels or even the Bay Area ones. It is hard to believe that just 30 years ago, I would have had lots of choices. Now it is NONE! On both KTVU-2 and KTXL-40, both of which are FOX AFFILIATES as well as former homes to BOB WILKINS, nothing but FOX CRAPOLA, from COPS to AMERICA'S MOST WANTED as well as the Late Night MAD TV and TALK SHOW WITH SPIKE. All the other TV Stations offer nothing. Not even the last remaining INDEPENDENT TV STATIONS: KBWB-20 and KICU-36, both from the Bay Area as Sacramento doesn't have any INDEPENDENTS ANYMORE! In fact, All of the Late Night Movie pickings are pretty slim too. Only KXTV-10 has CLASSIC MOVIES but not until 3:05AM Very Early Sundays. However these CLASSIC MOVIES are of the POOR QUALITY PUBLIC DOMAIN ONES which KXTV probably doesn't spend a dime. Sad though as this time slot was formerly that of MR. LOBO, an excellent HORROR HOSTS. Yes he showed PD MOVIES, but they were HORROR MOVIES!!! Today MR. LOBO is syndicated on SAN JOSE PBS TV STATION: KTEH-54, unfortunately my cable company doesn't carry KTEH. My Cable company carries: KCRA-3-SACRAMENTO, KRON-4-SAN FRANCISCO, KVIE-6-SACRAMENTO, KGO-7-SAN FRANCISCO, KQED-9-SAN FRANCISCO, KXTV-10-SACRAMENTO, KOVR-13-STOCKTON, KUVS-19-MODESTO, KBWB-20-SAN FRANCISCO, KSPX-29-SACRAMENTO, KMAX-31-SACRAMENTO, KCSO-LP 33-SACRAMENTO, KICU-36 SAN JOSE, KTXL-40-SACRAMENTO, KTNC-42-CONCORD, KQCA-58-STOCKTON and KTFK-64-STOCKTON. We lost Bay Area Channels 2 and 44, years ago as well as 5 and 26. Well it looks like my DVD PLAYER will keep me comfortable tonight. Now should I watch "FRANKENSTEIN" (1931), "HORROR OF PARTY BEACH" (1964) or "THEY SAVED HITLER'S BRAIN" (1964)? :)
